Here are a few more pics that we like.

One Month old!!

Ok, so we have not done real good at keeping this blog updated. We're pretty well adjusted, now, so hopefully we'll do better. :)

Dylan has been a good baby (knock on wood). He usually only cries when he needs something: he's hungry, needs his diaper changed, his belly hurts, or he's really sleepy and wants to be rocked to sleep. He weighs about 13lbs, now, which can fluctuate by about 2 lbs depending on when he poops. Ok, so maybe it's not that bad, but he does have some super heavy diapers sometimes.

I have to bragg on myself. I have not gagged, yet, when changing a diaper. I did have one close call this past Friday night. La and I got daring and went to Tyler Friday night. When we got there, Dylan had a dirty diaper so Laura graciously let me change it in the cramped quarters of the front seat of my truck. As I opened up the piotnant (Rocky Branch slang...not sure about the spelling) package, I found that Dylan is a magician. The inside of the diaper was clean. However, the outside of the diaper on his left leg was plastered with slimy poo. I could go into detail, but the memory could break my current record and cause me to gag, so I'll let your minds create the imagery. So, the slimy poo was on Dylan's outfit; From which we learned valuable, and yes, logical lesson...to always pack more than one outfit when traveling!!! So, I had to clean the slimy poo off of Dylan's outfit. Did I mention this was "slimy" poo. I only had to look away from the slimy poo 2 or 3 (or 4) times to regather my strength over my gag reflexes, but I got it done!

While I'm bragging, I want to bragg on Laura. She is a Super-Mom!!! She is really good with Dylan, and so willing to change his dirty diapers. Only when she is in a really good mood for a laugh does she test my gag reflexes (like Friday night in the truck).

Oh, and Dylan has started smiling. It's great!! You can't help from laugh or smile when he shares his smile with us. It's totally true what they say, "smiles are contagious". I know everyone wants to see pics, so we'll try to look through the thousands of pics we have to pick out some good ones. And, again, we'll try to update this more often. God bless you all!!
